Emsella Pelvic Floor Treatment in Massachusetts
Emsella Pelvic Floor Treatment in Massachusetts
Urinary incontinence can be terribly embarrassing and might cause you to miss out on living life to the fullest. Thankfully, Emsella sessions can treat this common problem without causing tissue trauma. Urinary incontinence is an indication of a common health issue that’s often left untreated. If urine leaks out when you laugh, cough, sneeze, or jump, it’s often an indication of weak pelvic floor muscles. These muscles can be difficult to target and strengthen using typical methods because they’re located deep within the abdominal cavity. That’s where the Emsella chair comes into play and gently treats pelvic floor weakness without surgical intervention.
Studio Eros is a leading provider of Kegel chair therapy using the revolutionary Emsella chair. This treatment can help treat incontinence by strengthening pelvic floor muscles. It can also improve related issues such as painful intercourse. Emsella treatments can even help men recover after prostate cancer treatment. To learn more about this powerful HIFEM energy chair and how it can improve your pelvic floor health, call us at 508-672-5260.

What Is Emsella?
What Is Emsella?

Emsella is a specialized chair that emits high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy. This FDA-cleared device addresses common pelvic floor issues by strengthening the pelvic floor muscles. It sends short bursts of targeted energy into the pelvic region. These energy bursts trigger deep and rapid muscle contractions that help tone the deep muscles of the pelvic floor. This treatment is so efficient that a single session produces results equivalent to thousands of Kegel contractions.

If you’ve been considering invasive treatments to help improve your pelvic floor health, please reconsider. Emsella treatment is a non-surgical option that consistently delivers notable improvements in pelvic floor strength and function. For optimal results, most patients only need a series of up to six treatments.1 Read testimonials and online reviews from other patients to manage your treatment expectations and get an idea of how Emsella can help you. Individual treatment results sometimes vary.*

What Are the Therapeutic Benefits of Emsella?
What Are the Therapeutic Benefits of Emsella?
It’s natural for pelvic floor muscles to weaken and lose some function with age. That’s why focusing even more on pelvic floor health is so important as you grow older. Childbirth and inactivity can also negatively impact pelvic floor function and lead to urinary incontinence. Since pelvic floor muscles perform so many different functions, getting them in good shape is worth your time and effort. Besides incontinence, a weak pelvic floor can also impact posture, sexual performance, and pleasure and potentially lead to prolapse. Here are a few reasons to consider trying the Emsella pelvic floor chair:

• Improved sexual function after prostate surgery (for men)
What to Expect During an EMSella Chair Treatment
What to Expect During an EMSella Chair Treatment
Wondering what to expect during your Emsella appointment? When you arrive, you’ll sit down with your provider, and we’ll discuss how your treatment will go. We’ll also answer your questions and help manage expectations. When you’re ready, we’ll show you back to your Emsella treatment room.
You don’t need to remove your clothing during your session. Instead, you’ll sit on the BTL Emsella chair fully clothed. Each treatment session lasts approximately 30 minutes. During that time, you can read a book to prevent boredom. However, we don’t recommend using any electronic devices during your session. The Emsella chair utilizes electromagnetic energy, which could damage your smartphone or other electronic device.
During treatment, your pelvic muscles will contract rapidly and intensely. This can initially feel a bit surprising, but it shouldn’t hurt. Most patients describe the sensation as unexpected but not uncomfortable or unbearable. It can just feel strange to experience muscle contractions in your body that you’re not physically controlling.
Please let us know during your initial consultation if you have any implanted metal or electronic devices, such as a pacemaker or implantable defibrillator. This treatment may not be a safe option because it could interfere with these devices. Whenever possible, we’ll recommend other ways you can strengthen your pelvic floor without harming yourself.

After your treatment, it’s natural to feel muscle soreness. After all, you just did the equivalent of thousands of Kegel exercises in one sitting! You may also feel temporary muscle weakness in your pelvic floor area. These sensations should subside on their own in a short period of time. You don’t need to take any time off work after your Kegel chair appointment. You should be able to resume your normal daily schedule without any interruptions.
